Members of the Coleford factory took to the rivers last weekend (3 September) in the annual Monmouth Raft Race organised by Monmouth Rotary Club.
The 56th race in Monmouth and 12th time for the CU Phosco crew, the home-made rafts – from King Charles’ carriage to a crocodile with a snapping crocodile - paddled over 6.5 miles down the River Wye, finishing at a Family Festival Day held at Whitebrook.
Raising much needed funds for St David’s Hospice Care, the CU Phosco team were one of 14 rafts taking place and chalked up a respectable 1st prize for Best Business and a 1st in the Mixed category plus we were 3rd over the line.
